At Word Chasers she is defined as a “rising star among gripping authors, someone to follow and watch climb to bestseller status.” And also to “recognize the power of her words making sentences that bond with the reader and hold them captive all the while gaining the compulsion to inch ever forward accumulating in the delight of word sleuthing.” At Noteworthy News she is denoted as “an impressive and budding new talent. A homeschooled young woman, who carefully yarns a tale with words that show elegance, fluidity, and style. She has a great voice in storytelling and is certainly an author destined toward appearing on the bestseller list!” Here at Lisa’s Kids’ Book Reviews, we applaud Hannah England for her glittering intellectual abilities in crafting a compelling middle grade story. Her dedication and passion to write well is clearly marked on every page of Discovering Harold. She is gifted beyond her years and will most likely present readers with impressive and awe-inspiring tales to come. Discovering Harold is written from the point of view (POV) character of a young fawn that is enlightened of the world around him by his mother. The reader is taken through the forest, the meadows, and the night, being introduced to sights, sounds, and smells only perceived by woodland animals, namely the fawn. The story quickly picks up and carries the reader along in an intensive action-packed manner rife with dangers of living in the forest and encountering Man. This novel will have you on the edge of your seat, turning pages faster than normal to get to the next detail and over the element of suspense right to the very end. So much more occurs in Discovering Harold, though we refrain from stating further as to avoid making spoilers. However, we highly recommend reading Hannah England’s notably well-written first debut novel – Discovering Harold.
World, meet Hannah England - an up and coming skilled writer and novelist.
